• Nest - Often found wading in deeper waters off the salt-water shores.

• Family - Ardeidae
• Identification - Small bird, back and sides of neck are chestnut in color.
• Food - Frogs, small fish, salamanders, lizards, snakes, and crawfish
• Nest - Often found in trees.
